Care Instructions

Light: Spider plants prefer a bright window or patios that gets indirect sun. Outdoors, spider plants prefer to grow in light shade. They tolerate heavy shade, but their growth won't be as robust. Direct sunlight scorches the leaves.

Watering: Spider plants like even moisture but can tolerate some neglect because their thick, fleshy roots are able to store water. A good rule of thumb is to water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot.

Fertilising: The plant appreciates a dose of liquid fertiliser. Apply a weak solution of 'Plant Fertiliser to boost plant health and life span.

Soil: Plant in a peat-based potting mix that is rich in organic matter with excellent drainage.
