Indoor Bird of paradise plant ( Strelitzia regina )

The Bird of Paradise is considered the queen of the indoor plant world. This large, upright plant adds a rich, tropical flair to your space as its glossy, banana-shaped leaves fan out. This striking plant is native to South Africa.

VIGILANCE: The large leaves would benefit from regular dusting. Leaves are sensitive to browning, curling and spotting.                        

Light: Bright filtered light throughout the year is best for the plant.

Watering: Keep compost moist, with good drainage. A good rule of thumb is to water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Misting can improve humidity.

Fertilizing: The plant appreciates a dose of liquid fertilizer. Apply a weak solution of 'Plant Fertilizer' to boost plant health and life span.

Soil: Plant in a peat-based potting mix that is rich in organic matter with excellent drainage.
