Native to Tropical Asia - This is a a tropical epiphytic orchid, that grows on the branches and trunks of trees, but is not parasitic. The blooms-usually in white, pink, and purple in various patterns are showy, sometimes a few or many, they are flat on erect to hanging racemes or panicles. Some species have flowers that last a few weeks while others last many months, the plant however may bloom annually or blooms last for about 3-4 weeks and they rebloom once a year.

VIGILANCE: Balancing the right amount of light, humidity and water for their leaves and roots is the issue that is most difficult to master for the beginner orchid grower.

Care Instructions

Tropical orchid plants that can be placed indoors while in bloom.

CARE Light: Place the plant in bright indirect sunlight indoors, grow best in bright, indirect light The plants need to be kept away from direct sunlight and direct draft of air.

Watering: Twice a week with half cup of water at a time is sufficient. Keep potting mix moist by watering regularly Simply stick your finger in the medium to determine when you should water.

Fertilizing: The plant appreciates a dose of liquid fertilizer.

Apply a weak solution of 'Orchid Fertilizer' to boost plant flowering, health and life span. (Follow label instructions)

Soil: Use a well-draining orchid mix consisting of materials like bark, or coconut husk.
